|Certificate Distribution Ceremony Held for Graduates of IDB-BISEW IT Scholarship Project|
The Project Authority of the IDB-BISEW IT Scholarship Project organized a certificate distribution ceremony for graduates of Round-1 through Round-20 at the IDB-BISEW Bhaban auditorium. A total of 250 graduates belonging to eight professional courses received their diploma certificates.
The IDB-BISEW IT Scholarship Project was launched in 2003 with the aim of enhancing the employment prospects of meritorious youths who come from financially disadvantaged background. Till date, the project has produced 5,195 graduates, most of them vendor certified under its diploma programme and trained 8,277 youths in basic computing. Approximately 4,495 graduates of this project are employed as IT professionals at home and abroad. Approximately 91% of the graduates of the project succeed in getting placed in well-paid jobs in the IT industry.
Islamic Development Bank-Bangladesh Islamic Solidarity Educational Wakf (IDB-BISEW) was established following an agreement between the Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the Government of Bangladesh. IDB-BISEW undertakes funding, formulating and implementing of projects in the areas of education, human resource development and institutional strengthening.
The members of the Project Authority and Project Consultants felt immense pleasure to be among the graduates who have been trained under the project and who have proven their skills in their professional career and termed the graduates as “ambassadors” of the IT Scholarship Project and congratulated them for securing rewarding careers in the IT industry.
